A Free Film Experience During the State Fair of Texas

As part of the State Fair of Texas’ Texas America 250 celebrations, Broadway Dallas invites Fair visitors to experience Whitman on Walls!, a powerful one-hour film series presented by acclaimed New York theatre collective Compagnia de’ Colombari.

Featuring more than 50 actors and musicians, Whitman on Walls! brings Walt Whitman’s iconic poem Song of Myself to life through a groundbreaking collection of filmed performances that celebrate America’s diverse voices, stories, and artistic spirit.

Often called one of the greatest works of American literature, Song of Myself has inspired generations of readers with its themes of individuality, democracy, and shared humanity. This special screening offers a unique opportunity to experience the poem in an engaging, contemporary format.

Special Live Artist Events
In addition to the daily screenings, producer Cindy Sibilsky returns to her North Texas roots to curate three special evenings featuring Texas-based poets, musicians, storytellers, dancers, and visual artists responding to Whitman’s landmark work.
