Good morning DSM Fans!
Some of our marketing team and our president and managing director have made the 3ish hour flight up to the Great White Way for the week to attend The Broadway League Spring Road Conference. (#src25) We’ll be updating you on our whereabouts and activities throughout the week – we’ve already been updating you on Instagram and Twitter (@dsmusicals). Join in on the conversation!
Lots of fun stuff has happened already. A Creative Conversation with the cast of A Raisin in the Sun (starring Denzel Washington!), performance and creative conversation with Aladdin (AMAZING!), brief performances by Sutton Foster and the cast of Violet and Kelli O’Hara, and a brief talk from Jon Stewart. And that was in less than 24 hours! I can’t wait to see what else happens this week – I hope you will follow us as we give you updates!
New York is one of my personal favorite cities in the world. It’s new every time I come to this city, and it never ceases to surprise me. I love people watching – and boy, they are not in short supply here! Broadway is, of course, why I’m ultimately here – to see shows that we may have in Dallas. But I also love the large supply of different activities all around. I decided this trip to also go to see American Ballet Theatre, Madison Square Garden, and Yankees Stadium. I think it’s important to see what a city has to offer, because it helps us get a better understanding of the people and the culture. I look forward to sharing with you these non-Broadway experiences as well.
We’re on Twitter and Instagram @dsmusicals and using the hashtag #src25. I hope to see you there!
