EDUCATION – ON STAGE, IN CLASSROOMS, AND THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY

Broadway Dallas has made the strategic decision to usher in the 100th Anniversary of the Music Hall at Fair Park in 2025 with a $1 million investment in education and community.

On Stage

From their high school auditoriums to the Music Hall stage and potentially onto THE LION KING stage at the Minskoff Theatre in New York City, Broadway Dallas coaches, adjudicates, and celebrates more than 5,000 students from 80 school productions across North Texas each year through the High School Musical Theatre Awards (HSMTA).

IN CLASSROOMS

In partnership with Dallas ISD, each year Broadway Dallas introduces 3,400 students to STEM curriculum infused with the Arts to build a foundation for these high school youth to succeed in college and careers both inside and outside the arts. This vast program culminates with all 3,400 students converging on the Music Hall for Dallas ISD Day to see the show that inspired their work. For the 100th Anniversary, Broadway Dallas plans to double the size of this program and create Dallas County Schools Day.

THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY

Breaking down barriers of accessibility, Broadway Dallas provides free Broadway season subscriptions, meals, transportation, and intentional engagement activities to our partner community organizations in our South Dallas/Fair Park neighborhood. Our goal is to share the gift of Broadway with as many members of our community as possible.
