Working in partnership with schools and school districts, the goal of 212°Connect is to turn STEM to STEAM by integrating the arts into core curriculum classrooms. With a focus on career readiness and using theatre skills on and off the stage, 212° Connect uses the Spirit of Broadway to enhance the education of all children we serve.
DALLAS ISD PARTNERSHIP
Broadway Dallas partner with Dallas ISD to provide exceptional professional development opportunities for the District’s educators (ConnectEDU), bring live theater into classrooms across the District (Dallas ISD Cultural Awareness Streaming Series), and provide exclusive master classes and ticket access to the District’s students. Through this partnership, Broadway Dallas exhibits our commitment to our city and its well-deserving theatre students.
Master classes
Broadway Dallas provides virtual and in-person master classes to students across North Texas focused on a variety of theatrical topics, including acting, directing, stage management, and various others. These classes are taught by local and national professionals, including artists direct from Broadway. Recent virtual master classes can be viewed on Broadway Dallas’ YouTube Page (@BroadwayDallas).
DALLAS ISD day
Every school year, Dallas ISD theatre students and teachers participate in STEAM-based curriculum and attend a performance of Ain’t Too Proud.
